All you need is proof of identity and your home address to activate your JB Maestro® Prepaid Card and eccount. There are no credit checks and no awkward questions to answer. You can either buy and activate your card online or download the activation form by clicking here. Complete and return it to the address below along with the required identity information:
The JB Card, PO BOX 6388, LONDON, W1A 1UXSimply choose from one of the two following options to confirm your identity:
- Confirm that you’re personally registered with at least two of the following:
- Home landline telephone number
- Full UK Driving licence number
- That you’re registered on the Electoral Roll
OR
- Supply a copy of the photo page of you passport. All nationalities are welcome. Some older style passports may require certification – Call the JB Team for an activation form with details.
A Machine Readable Passport:
A machine readable passport DOES NOT require certification. It has two lines of letters, numbers and chevrons (<<) at the bottom of the photo page similar to this:

A Passport Requiring Certification
If you DO NOT have a machine readable passport, you must get the photocopy certified by ONE of the following:

Other options
If you’re unable to provide the information required, don’t worry, we may still be able to confirm your identity using other documents you may have, such as birth or marriage certificates, utility bills or benefits entitlement letters. When you receive your JB Card through the post, you can retrieve your PIN by following the instructions on your welcome letter, then just Top-up and it’s ready to use.
